The Makeup Institute is a woman owned business founded in 2021, since then The Makeup Institute has become an innovative academy dedicated to the teachings of makeup artistry! We offer courses that will improve and challenge your creativity, preparing you for a rewarding career and creative outlet.
The Makeup Institute values our students and clients. We are dedicated to achieving 100% customer satisfaction. Our courses are detailed, consistent and prepare you for taking on clients as soon as you graduate.
We are also a full service makeup salon! We offer full face makeup application, facial waxing, eyelash application and brow tinting. Feel free to book an appointment or walk in our salon! We accept walk in makeup appointments Tuesday - Saturday 10am-6pm

Meet Our Instructor
Marshe’ Watkins
CEO, Owner & Instructor
Marshe’ Watkins began her career as a freelance makeup artist for over 7 years, providing a safe space for women to feel seen and confident. With a passion for growth, she stepped back from her freelance work to open the first makeup school in Cleveland, Ohio, later expanding to include a full-service makeup salon. Marshe’ holds licenses in cosmetology, esthetics, and makeup. In 2018, she launched her makeup brand, The Miabella Collection. Marshe’ is dedicated to teaching makeup artistry, entrepreneurship, and the benefits of a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
